Pastor Mike, So here is another subject we came across tonight at our Experiencing God bible study. First, did Judas accept Christ as Savior? I don't really know where to start with this, but... I know in the bible Judas betrayed Jesus and that Judas was given silver for delivering Christ to the chief priests. After this, Jesus had passover with the disciples and even told them that one of them would betray Him. I gave reference too that in the movie "The Passion of the Christ" they show Judas giving back the silver. And it is also said in the Bible that he gave back the silver. Also, Christ knew that Judas was going to betray Him. At some point Judas gave back the silver to the high priest and said "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." So in some way did he repent here? Also after this Judas went and hung himself. So this brought up the question of suicide. If you accept Christ and somewhere down the road end up killing yourself, do you go to heaven? And is this mentioned in the bible anywhere?

The Bible gives no indication that Judas repented. In fact, scholars believe that Acts 1:25 is a euphemism for the fact that Judas went to a separate place for eternity.
As to saved people committing suicide, the Bible is silent. However, we are commanded not to murder, and suicide is murder. Can a saved person commit murder? I suppose. And murder is not an unpardonable sin. Therefore, if a Christian commits suicide, though he has grievously transcended God's law, salvation is not forfeited.
