The following question came in the form of a private message, and since I think it's one many people are interested in, I'm posting it and my response here:
Yes, you will be judged. Everyone will be judged. However, there are two judgments. The judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10. See also 1 Corinthians 3:12-15) is the judgment of believers. It is the place where we will give account of our lives as Christians and receive our rewards. The key is that we will receive rewards and not punishment (see also 2 Corinthians 4:16-18). Now, what exactly are those rewards? We don't know with any certainty, but we do know that we will receive them (see 1 Corinthians 9:17; Colossians 3:23-24; 2 John 1:8). Also, according to Revelation 4:10-11, it seems that in heaven, we will be so enthralled with Jesus we will want to give our rewards back to Him.
The other judgment is the great white throne of judgment of Revelation 20:11-15. That is the judgment of the non-Christians. At that time, all whose names are not written in the book of life will be condemned and thrown into the lake of fire where they will suffer for all eternity.
